“F is my favorite letter as you know.” So sings Canadian chanteuse Kathleen Edwards in “The Cheapest Key”. But for Brooklynites, the F train is not a favorite. This coming weekend it has the distinction of being the only train involved in a planned service disruption at any local station. From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday, Manhattan bound F trains will be diverted to the A/C line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street. So, no Manhattan bound service at York Street. DUMBOites will have to climb the hill to High Street or catch a Brooklyn bound F at York back to Jay and get on a Manhattan bound train there.
Apart from that, there’s nothing planned that directly affects service at any stations in Brooklyn Heights or nearby, either this weekend or the following week. There are some skipped stations and service interruptions that affect service in Manhattan, further into Brooklyn, and in the Bronx and Queens. Check MTA Info for details.
