The Little House that Could

120.jpg

Built in 1833, the wood frame house at 135 Joralemon Street has been in disrepair since being damaged by fire in 2005. This week, the Brooklyn Heights Association writes in its newsletter that the home has been purchased and will be restored. Its new owner is general contractor and nabe resident Howard Haimes (property records officially list owner as 135 Joralemon LLC). BHA hints in its publication that it would be a wonderful addition to the BHA House Tour when it's done. We couldn't agree more.

The house received landmark designation on November 18, 1966.
