Two Units Go To Contract Sight Unseen At 30 Henry Street Condo Development

The new build condo project at 30 Henry Street, dubbed The Heights, has sold two more high-end units (now in contract) in the building—including the five-story condo’s penthouse.

The former home of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle comprises five total units, each taking up an entire floor. The 2,861sf penthouse is now in contract, according to Curbed (via Streeteasy which reports 2 apartment in contract- Homer), for its asking price of $4.95M… or $1,730 per square foot.

In addition, the first-floor unit has been sold, at $3.395M. The 2,148sf 3-bed, 2.5-bath included a fireplace and private garden, selling for $1,404/square foot. Since 30 Henry is still under construction, both apartments have been sold based only on floorplans and renderings.

DUMBO-based developer Fortis Manor purchased the homely one-story building at 30 Henry & Middagh in November 2011 for $3.5 million—$500K over its asking price of $3 million.

holy smokes – that is a lot of loot – for $4+ million I don’t know that I would want to live in that building at that location..and they are not even that big!

Those are some insane $/sq. foot numbers! Well, at least when the next Super Storm hits and the electricity goes down, owners can stick their heads out the window and call for the NYFD. Those sirens are very close by!

It’s not clear whether curbed actually confirmed with the broker that the units are in contract at the asking price, or that’s simply their speculation because they saw no price reductions on streeteasy. Either way, I’m sure they’re simply in contract, not sold. And whether at ask or near ask, that’s still a lot of dough.

(Chuck another example of your cutting and pasting entire articles from other sites causing you to repeat their reporting errors.)
