Hey, Good Luck With That Sentiment…

This graffiti is emblazoned outside 172-174 Montague Street, where demo has begun to supplant the two-story building that once housed Irish pub & restaurant Eammon’s of Brooklyn and Hallmark

As previously reported, the 8,150-square-foot property sold in June 2012 for $12 million, with plans for a highrise condo development. With a C5-2/DB zoning designation, it is approved for 60,000 buildable square feet and “significant air rights.” The new building is said to be 19 stories, with 74 apartments. (CT)

Most new construction right now is rental apartments, so the protester may (technically) get what they requested.
