Grace Church Winterfair Coming Saturday, February 2

Grace Church’s annual Winterfair will be held on Saturday, February 2. The fair will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and you can shop for children’s clothing and toys; books, CDs, DVDs, videos, and records for all ages; baked goods, flowers and plants, furniture, men’s and women’s fashions, sportswear, and sporting equipment. A luncheon cafe will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and there will also be a kids’ cafe. Admission to the fair is free.

There will be an evening gala and silent auction starting at 6:30. Tickets for the gala are $25 if purchased in advance (come to the Parish Office, 254 Hicks Street, between Grace Court and Joralemon Street, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or $30 at the door. The silent auction (disclosure: your correspondent’s wife is in charge of this event) will feature such items as fine clothing; jewelry; artwork; china and silver; tickets to musical, theater, and sporting events; and gift certificates from local merchants and restaurants.

The theme of this year’s Winterfair (with apologies to Don McLean) is “Starry, Starry Night.”

If you have items you would like to donate to the fair, you may bring them to the Church on weekdays during office hours (see above). If you have something of value or interest that you would like to donate to the silent auction, please call the Parish Office, 718-624-1850, or e-mail slarson@gracebrooklyn.org or foley.martha@gmail.com.
