The CW’s Carrie Diaries Takes Over Brooklyn Heights

The Carrie Diaries, the CW’s “pre-quel” to the seminal HBO series Sex in the City is filming all over Brooklyn Heights today – most notably the area around Clark and Hicks Street. If you see any exciting action tweet us your pics – @bkheightsblog.

We’re especially jazzed about this show at BHB since Fink family pal Jess Garvey has scored a recurring role as Carrie’s mom.

Brutally, arrogantly taken over. Production vehicles double-parked earlier on Pineapple: if you wanted to get to down the street, you had to drive on the sidewalk. “I had the road blocked off,” said the PA, “but somebody moved the cone.” Well, yeah, right…because you don’t get to block off a public street.

They put up the signs less than 24 hours before they started towing cars…ridiculous…Can’t we get adequate notice, i would think they get permissions weeks in advance, signs should go up a week before so people don’t have their cars towed. Its always like this and nothing every gets done to change this situation.

Gerry, your obviously not a real person…Clark and Hicks is one block from the promenade and there is nothing but gorgeous buildings located their…I now question if you even live in the neighborhood?

  • MonroeOrange

oh yeah…and its a holiday, how can they film on a holiday?

If I had a choice of metastatic cancer of my eyeballs or watching any variant of SATC, I will take the cancer, thank you very much.

No, Gerry, WHEREVER YOU ARE at any given time is the crummy, dumpy section.

  • MonroeOrange

so at one point does a comment get blocked on this new system…that’s 4 negative marks for Gerry so far…and counting

  • Gerry

@ Knight – no wherever YOU are is crummy and dumpy.
Whatever you say sticks back to you….can you dig it?

  • Knight

Third grade mentality … as expected.

I don’t know, but it’s adjustable. I think I read six negs was the default, but the threshold here & now seems lower. Then the comment is labeled “in moderation” (while being still readable upon expansion, which I count a good thing).
