NYPD: Heights Robbers Continue to Branch Out

They got their start here, but aren’t exactly on the short list of Brooklyn Heights Famous Firsts…

The suspects who started a mini crime wave when they held up the Montague St. Radio Shack in October, 2012 have racked up another one, this time at a cell phone store on 120th St. in Queens. For this, their fourth robbery, they ramped up their M.O. by using zip ties to restrain the clerk while they cleared out the register, according to police. It’s not known exactly how much they took, but they left us with new surveillance photos.

Why are they “Heights Robbers”? They robbed a business located in BH as well as in 3 other communities apparently. They are thieves, robbers, stick up artists, thugs, cretins but Heights Robbers?

The label “Heights Robbers” is an attention grabber. Nothing more, nothing less.
