Cool Yule at First Unitarian Church

From the BHB Inbox comes this event announcement:

SIRENS of BROOKLYN will perform a Christmas Choir Benefit Concert in First Unitarian Church’s Revival Gothic Sanctuary in Brooklyn Heights (50 Monroe Place, Brooklyn, NY) on December 19 at 8pm. The proceeds go to the Vibe Song Makers Program, providing under-served teenage girls training to write, record and perform original songs. (www.vibetheater.org)

The Choir is a super group of New York Songstresses including Cat Martino, Courtney Kaiser (of KaiserCartel), Nina Persson (of the Cardigans/A Camp), Katie Eastburn, Mia Riddle (of the Citizens Band), Dawn Landes, Liz Tormes, Greta Gertler, and many more…

The music will be a varied Concert from Traditional Carols, Gospel, Medieval Chant, Eastern European folksong, to A-cappella Pop-song. Think white dresses, unadorned vocal acoustics, a bit of hand clapping, and you are getting warm. Modern women sing songs of olde.

Benefit concert tickets are $15 in advance at www.vibetheater.org or $20 cash day of concert (suggested donation).

The First Unitarian Church’s Revival Gothic Sanctuary provides a beautiful setting with pristine acoustics. Don’t miss the chance to hear this one-time grouping of singers joining their glorious voices for a worthy cause.
