In town for the weekend and the Christmas holiday? Bargemusic, at Fulton Ferry Pier, foot of Old Fulton Street, has a full schedule of concerts this evening (Thursday), Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoon, as well as a free family oriented “Music in Motion” concert Saturday afternoon. In addition, there will be a Christmas Eve celebration featuring J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations played by pianist Steven Beck. Details are here.
On Friday, Brooklyn Heights Cinema, 70 Henry Street (corner of Orange) will, along with other programming, begin a run of screenings of Hyde Park on Hudson, the story of how President Franklin D. Roosevelt (Bill Murray) and his wife Eleanor (Olivia Williams) hosted the first visit ever to the U.S. by a British King and Queen.
