Talking ‘Bout A Revolution: High-End Swarovski Joins Fulton Mall

Jewelry and Crystal shop Swarovski is joining Downtown Brooklyn’s Fulton Mall revolution with a 2,500 square-foot lease on the ground floor of 490 Fulton Street, its first boutique in the borough, according to The New York Post. The upscale retailer joins Express and Seattle’s Best Coffee in the fully renovated five-story building, with Raymour & Flanigan and Planet Fitness on the way. Robert Cohen of RKF represented Swarovski in the deal.

Brownstoner tips that the national Freelancers Union is also opening a freelancer-focused, primary care practice (with yoga studio) Downtown, at 408 Jay Street between Willoughby & Fulton. It is expected to open in November. (Photo: Brownstoner)

    R&F and Swarovski? Zzzzz.

On the plus side, Ganso opened around the corner from here and is getting good reviews.

Fantastic. You’ll be able to get your “recently liberated” new iPhone 5 bedazzeled right after taking it to be unlocked.

As a freelance union member I am psyched to have a primary care facility right down there.

So the question is would we rather have cheap crap or expensive crap. I prefer my crap cheap.

I think Swarovski has reached out too far. Time will tell.

Not too be snooty, but let’s get real — In that area? Are you serious? Must have involved some sort of tax write-off.
