The A and F trains seem to be involved in a slow motion do-si-do. Last weekend, Brooklyn bound A (and C) trains were diverted onto the F track between West 4th and Jay Street-Metro Tech. This weekend, Manhattan bound F trains are taking the A/C line between Jay and West 4th. This means no Manhattan bound service at York Street in DUMBO. To reach stations in the Lower East Side on the F line (East Broadway, Delancey, 2nd Avenue, and Broadway-Lafayette) take an A, C, or F from Jay Street or High Street to West 4th, and catch a Brooklyn bound F there to the desired station. If you’re going into Manhattan on the A/C line, you should change to the E train at Canal, 14th, or 42nd for Spring, 23rd, or 50th streets, as the uptown C won’t be making these stops. The downtown C will run as normal.
The following week, there are no planned changes affecting service at any of the stations in the area of Brooklyn Heights. During late nights (midnight to 5:00 a.m.) some trains will be skipping stations in Manhattan and further into Brooklyn. For details, check the MTA website.
