Saturday Night: Fireworks

There will be a fireworks display near Liberty Island tomorrow, May 12, at approximately 11:30 p.m.. In case of inclement weather, the display will take place May 13.

The fireworks should be easily visible from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.

    I wish I knew. All I have is the cryptic announcement from Notify NYC.
    I remember some years ago seeing an announcement in the Federal Register that the East River was being closed on a certain night between eight and nine for a fireworks display in honor of someone’s bat mitzvah.
