Crane Scrapes Brooklyn Bridge

WABC-TV reports that a crane aboard a ship passing below the Brooklyn Bridge struck the bottom of the historic overpass this morning sometime around 7:30am.  The DOT is reporting there is no structural damage.

    I took my usual walk across the Bridge shortly after 8:00 this morning. The walkway was open, and there was traffic going both ways on the roadway below. The right lane on the south (Brooklyn bound) side, however, was closed, and there were several police cars as well as construction vehicles parked there.
