Subway Service Alerts

There are no planned changes affecting service at any of the subway stations in or near Brooklyn Heights this forthcoming St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Sláinte. There will be some service changes during the late night-early morning hours the following week.

Tuesday through Friday (March 20-23), from midnight to 5:00 a.m. there will be no 4 train service to or from Brooklyn. Since the 5 doesn’t come to Brooklyn during these hours in any event, there will be no service at Borough Hall on the 4/5 line during these times. The 2 and 3, however, will be running normally, and the 3 will be extended to New Lots for those traveling into Brooklyn. On these same days and hours, Manhattan bound A trains will be diverted to the F tracks between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street, so there will be no Manhattan bound service (the C does not run late at night) at High Street. On Wednesday through Friday from midnight to 5:00 a.m. there will be no Manhattan bound service at Court Street, as N trains (which replace the R during those hours) will be re-routed over the Manhattan Bridge. For service to Manhattan during the wee hours, get the 2 or 3 at Clark Street or Borough Hall, or the A or F at Jay Street.
