Filming Continues On Remsen Thursday Night For Jason Bateman’s “The Longest Week”

Brooklyn Heights continues to be a sweet destination for 2012 dramedy “The Longest Week,” starring Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde and Billy Crudup. At 11 p.m. Thursday, the bottom of Remsen Street was a maelstrom of lights and crew, as neighborhood filming wrapped Dec. 8.

The shoot was briefly interrupted by real life NYPD police chase that ended with the perp’s car crashing at the corner of Hicks and Montague Street. Earlier in the evening paps caught Wilde and Bateman shooting a scene riding a Vespa.

Remsen St’ers Please call 212-489-6710 to complain about the noise – they had the bright lights shining on our buildings till 11 pm, were shooting some stupid scene which involved dragging a vespa on a trailer to simulate driving it? to montague terrace at which point a box truck was supposed to almost hit the vespa. With car horns beeping etc. All for what – 3 secs of actual movie time? Can’t they do this on a studio lot?
