Earlier in the week, I felt compelled to pay tribute to Steve Jobs primarily because of the impact he has had on my life on a daily basis. Every day I type and process film (iMovie and iPhoto) on my iMac, listen to my iPod and read the papers on my iPad.

Well, Michael Van Valkenburgh has also had a profound effect on my daily living. There isn’t a day where I don’t venture down to Brooklyn Bridge Park just to experience the beauty and serenity it provides. We, in Brooklyn Heights, are so fortunate to have this fantastically designed park in our backyard. I’m a big fan and can’t thank Michael enough for his contribution to the nabe and my personal happiness.

I am attaching my own personal tribute to Michael. A great Brooklyn Heights resident.
