Why are Avocados $6 each at the Montague KeyFood and 2 for $3 at the Atlantic KeyFood?

@Arch Stanton It is what it is. I don’t tolerate disrespect. Just sayin.

@karl on Fortune House, haven’t eaten there in awhile. I really liked their fresh dumplings in the past, but I was annoyed that they wouldn’t deliver to my block in Dumbo. They told me they deliver to two blocks away so I don’t understand their delivery zone. However, Andy’s Chinese on Montague delivers to my block and they are pretty good also.

@Boondoggle: that’s Arch’s way of saying “welcome to the neighborhood.”

JAFO, Sometimes the Montague Key has “organic” avocados in addition to the regular ones at a premium price.

The key food on Atlantic competes with the produce market a few doors down. Ever since the new owners of key food took over they stepped up their produce inventory and have competitive prices.

A bit late I know to be weighing in on the concerns of people stopping mid-way on subway staircases to talk on cells and text, but I too am equally perplexed. Cell phone etiquette seems to no longer exist (not that it ever did). I was helping a stranger carry a baby carriage down the stairs at High Street station last week and there was a guy on his phone standing near the bottom of the stairs with no intentions of moving, and comically it just happened to be the MTA employee from the booth. Go figure.

Also, someone else posted above about tourist getting “to the top of the steps and then stop dead in their tracks” at High Street station (off Cranberry St.), something I do indeed see often. It certainly doesn’t help either that the enclosed subway maps posted are directly at the bottom of stairs, often causing a road block for entering and departing High Street station.
