    Elizabeth,
I was very excited when we moved here six years ago.
I grew up in East Flatbush and we moved to LI when I was 12. All my life I wanted to “come home” to Brooklyn. Well, after six years I am ready to move on. We will retire in a few years but we will not be staying here. I have had noise pollution nearly non-stop on my block ever since we moved in. Maybe I am just getting old but I’d like a little peace and quiet in my retirement and of course a more affordable place to live.

It’s a little freaky to realize that those are my windows reflected.

Brownstoner reports on the Atlantic Avenue Business Improvement District getting the go-ahead:

Hopefully it might help get some more tenants in the empty storefronts – there seem to be a good number these days.

Young revelers were out and about at 4 AM. (Nice, guys–waking up the neighborhood on the Tenth Anniversary of 9/11.)

I was too groggy to have them arrested for disturbing the peace. (Maybe someone else did, he asked hopefully?)
