Vienna Music Film Fest Coming to Brooklyn Bridge Park

The Vienna Music Film Festival, held annually in the Austrian capital for the last twenty years, will cross the Atlantic for a performance at Pier 1, Brooklyn Bridge Park, on the evening of Monday, August 29, from 7:00 to 11:00. If you’re afraid you may need some nourishment during those hours, have no fear, as “Austrian food vendors will be on hand, selling delicious Viennese cuisine.” Admission to the festival is free.

Presented by International Music + Media Centre (IMZ) and Czekaj Artistic Productions, the film festival will screen of a selection of classical concerts and opera performances recorded at many of Austria’s, and Europe’s, most prestigious music venues. These venues include the Wiener Musikverein, Wiener Staatsoper, the Opernhaus Zurich, the Waldbuhne Berlin, and others. Performing artists include Placido Domingo, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Anna Netrebko, Cecilia Bartoli, Renee Fleming, Jonas Kaufmann, Rolando Villazon, and others.

The screening, which will be in HD, starts at 8:30 p.m.
