    Matthew:
Your walking days are over. The sign for Hanco’s is in the window! I am anxious for the bubble tea-I usually just head to Chinatown, especially since they are so cheap!

Bongo, not sure what you mean by the sidewalk shed around the St. George Tower coming back. It’s never gone away from the Pineapple Street side of the tower, and they’ve been doing some work on it this week. It’s been up for over two years now, and I wish it really *would* go away.

You are in luck, Andrew! I’ve been told that the reason that the Pineapple side of the shed did not come down this past week is because it has to be done on a Wednesday when there are no cars parked alongside it. That part of the shed should come down this coming Wednesday, August 3rd.

It looks like there was a break-in at the bodega/lottery store on Joralemon Street near the corner of Clinton (across from the cleaners). The police have been there all morning and the front window appears broken. Not sure whether anything was stolen.

Knight, thanks for the news, but the day when there’s no parking on that side of Pineapple is Tuesday, not Wednesday. Hope the truck doesn’t show up Wednesday!

Incidentally, four times tried to post here that Columbia University has a real estate brochure project that has numerous decades-old RE brochures on it. I found dozens for BH buildings, from one for 101 Clark Street when it was to be called “The Beecher” to a 1938 one for my own building that I’d never seen. Every time I try to post the link here, BHBlog refuses my e-mail.
