    No there are no good bike shops in the neighborhood. But it depends on what your bike needs are. Sid’s 19th/7th ave is the nearest ‘good bike shop’ as far as my needs are.

    Kim Paris, the Vietnamese place at the corner of Henry and Montague, has closed. :( The sign in the window says that the replacement, “Ginger Vegetarian”, will be opening in two weeks or so.

    bornhere and nabe – Sal’s!!! that brings back some memories! My dad recently told me a wild story about how Sal met his demise – real Scorcese type stuff: a stolen briefcase, diamonds and a mob rubout. no kidding.
