NY Daily News: St. Charles Jubilee Senior Celebrates…: “I have seen more vibrant seniors here than in any other senior center that I’ve worked at,” said St. Charles Jubilee caseworker Christina Parente.
Josephine Vitale, a 98-year-old born-and-bred Brooklynite, epitomizes Parente’s words. During the short ceremony, she jittered in her chair. When the singing was over and the birthday cake was distributed, Vitale sprang up from her seat.
