    I happen to live across the street from 8 and even that proved to be a dangerous trek in trying to get my daughter to school. In fact. much to his credit, Seth Phillips was out there with an ice scraper, chipping away at the build-up on the south-east corner opposite the school.

    Arch, sometimes the nature of the precipitation is far more important than the amount of accumulation . An ice storm of a 1/2 inch can be hell of a lot more treacherous than a snow storm of 20.

    What’s with BH dog owners?

    Just moved to BH a month ago. LOVE LOVE LOVE it here…
    BUT
    WHY SO MUCH DOG POOP ON GROUND
    SERIOUSLY, WE TOTALLY DO NOT GET IT.
    Did dog owners here not get the memo?
    We’re dog owners – we LOVE the dogs
    All the poop on the ground – not awesome. PICK IT UP!

    @Perry Schaffer: What with the melts, the Promenade was a minefield today. I suspect it’s five percent of the dogs doing ninety-five percent of the damage.

    Some of those guilty folks don’t realize that owning a dog is not a guaranteed right in any constitution or charter; that the City Council and Mayor could ban dog ownership in New York City if they were of the mind to have clean sidewalks.

    Having lived in the heights all of my life I go back to where Bread and Butter was the local Video Store or better yet: Marty’s. I wish the new restaurant on Pineapple all the best and can’t wait to find out what it is.
