Sounds nice, but when I go to the jazz website, their advertised activities all seem to say “Donations accepted at the door.” Is this event free or will donations be solicited? Not objecting to having to pay for such and event, but I do think it should be made very clear whether it really is a free event or whether people will be EXPECTED to make a “donation.” Can someone clarify? Thanks

AL: I called the CBJC, and was told that no one will be asking for donations at the door–it is truly, as the BHS release says, “free and open to the public”, and no one is expected to donate as a condition of attending. At some time during the evening’s presentations, however, and not surprisingly, a pitch will be made for support of CBJC.

But can we look at the map while we are listening?
