Brownstoner reports on the opening of Tio Pio at Court & State. Anyone venture over to try it out yet?

I’ve been having the same Time Warner freezing issues too. Especially on BBC America, CNN International. Very annoying.

    Thanks, S.O.S. I haven’t been there in years…might give it a shot.

There is a dog. On Cranberry Street or thereabouts. Who has been let out (I think — it doesn’t seem like he is being walked since the sound doesn’t move) every morning this week at 6am and who barks loudly and incessantly — basically until I wake up. Listen, I have had dogs and I love dogs and I realize they bark, but letting your dog, a barker, out at that hour to bark his face off is plain old inconsiderate. Walk him? Supervise him until he’s ready to come in before he starts making so much noise? I can’t quite see from my window where it is coming from, so I’m not sure what I can do about it, but the anger, it is building!

Truly, I am grateful to live in a neighborhood where this is my ultimate complaint and also grateful to have a job where I can sleep till 8am (though this week it has been 6am every day thanks to old pooch) BUT all that notwithstanding, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR YOUR DOG BARKING AT 6am.

PJL: You have only to look at Concord Village to know what’s wrong with it. But I imagine it’s cheap – for New York.

Anyone know where there’s a toy drive donation box? I have some new infant/baby toys to donate. Thanks.

Don’t they take Toys for Tots at local fire houses? I know the Housing Works Thrift store on Montague does *not* take children’s toys.

Beth, there’s a house on the north side of Middagh between Hicks and Willow with a dog which is let out and sits behind a wooden fence next to the property. It barks at other dogs and people walking past. Not sure if it’s out in the recent frigid weather.

Jane……. I believe the dog you hear is coming from 54 hicks street, and it is not just in the morning. This dog is let out most of the day, and it barks and barks to be let back in – to no avail. I can see it from my window – a medium large black dog – and very annoying indeed!!

Oopps – – That should have been directed to Beth – – Not Jane. Sorry.
