Bossert On Display For House Tour

bossert

According to the Brooklyn Paper and the Brooklyn Eagle, the Bossert, that lovely former hotel turned Jehovah ‘s Witnesses hangout, will be one of the houses featured during this year’s Brooklyn Heights House Tour on Saturday, May 10th. Currently, the Bossert is up for sale, so this could be considered an “Open House” for any potential buyers out there! Although we have not been able to get an official list of houses for the tour, the highlights for these “mystery” homes are:

  • A contemporary carriage house, built in 1992, with “self-designed” children’s rooms
  • Another carriage house, built in the 1860s
  • An 1860s Italianate rowhouse, that now houses a family of four (Columbia Heights?)
  • A Greek Revival rowhouse (one of four) built in the 1840s (Willow Place?)
  • A Federal style house, one of the oldest in Brooklyn Heights, that was the site of a recent Coen Brothers film shoot
