Brooklyn Women’s Exchange Hosts Silhouette Artist Thursday

Acclaimed silhouette artist Deborah O’Connor will be performing her scissors magic at the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange this coming Thursday, November 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. To make an appointment (I’m told they’re going fast), call the exchange at 718-624-3435.

The Exchange’s series of Sunday holiday craft events continues tomorrow (Sunday, November 14), with a kids’ workshop from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 (drop in anytime during that period; kids must be accompanied by an adult; suggested materials fee $5.00) and a visiting artist from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. These events will continue on subsequent Sundays: November 21, December 5, and December 12.

I L-O-V-E silhouettes! And so do my cats. Hmmmm…..

Wow, this brings back memories. When I was very young, I recall that the Grace Church Yankee Fair had a silhouette artist who did them on the spot. I was totally enthralled.

How much are the silhouettes? For 4 people?

Accountant: if you call the exchange at 718-624-3425, they will tell you. I recommend calling at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, when they open, as I was told appointments are going fast.

The comments counter shows 4 comments, but only 2 show up. The same things happens on other posts, too. Not sure if this is a bug on the BHB side or computer (I’ve tried different ones on my side), but I’ve never previously had this problem. I can’t see the comments even if I click directly on the comment roll on the right hand side of the page.

interesting–after posting my comment, the other comment appeared (I had previously hit refresh and emptied my cache, which hadn’t done the trick).

@anon: I had the same problem, using two different browsers, after a cache dump, etc. Today, things seem OK.
