What an improvement! From brassy-gold paint job to…brassy gold paint job!

Clearly, this is going in the wrong direction. I forecast neon in 3 months’ time.

Neon scissors and a comb….yeah, I could see that. Not quite as iconic as Armando’s lobster, however.

At least the duck is still there. Dear daughter likes that.

Will they spring for cleaning the graffiti from the Orange St side of the building?

Really in keeping with the style of landmarked Brooklyn Heights! Could it get anymore garrish?

Actually, the biggest change to the storefront involves the signage. Otherwise, it;s exactly the same as it was when Parrish Pharmacy was there, albeit with a fresh coat of paint. One thing I’ve never understood was who made the letter-spacing decision on the current sign. Seems like there’s something missing between Diva and Salon.

We don’t need no stinkin’ permits! When they opened, they used the old “D-R-U-G-S” sign to spell out “S-A-L-O-N”, again without getting permission from Landmarks.
