    Last weekend I biked with my 8 year old through the new bike path that leads from Pier 6 to Pier 1. it was pretty cool. alot easier than biking up the streets to get to DUMBO. She was impressed by the view looking up at the Promenade and Squibb park (where she plays as a student of P.S.8). and the reward?, Deweys candy store, and laughing at the people in line for Grimaldi’s.

    Anyone else with Time Warner have the last 10-15 minutes of Mad Men go without audio Sunday night? (I know….I need a life).

    I currently use Public Storage and was hoping to find another place to store my stuff. Does anyone have a local recommendation?

    Also, I am looking to sell a small amount of gold jewelry. Is there a good, trustworthy jeweler anyone can refer me to?

    Does anyone know how to get in touch with the parking lot located at 13-21 Everit St, says its owned by Doughty Street Realty Inc.

    JM -about Mad Men…. yes, and I was not happy! The sound came on for those last 10 min. during the repeat at 11:00. Others had the same problem, and one blogger complained to TWC only to be told they can’t give a credit if it’s only the audio is off! I feel like I’m being held hostage by them. Been meaning to call TWC but haven’t had the free hour to be put on hold.

    Rerunruzbekistan – I rent space at both Public and American Self-Storage across Tillary from Public (I will consolidate as soon as I find the time — this is costing a lot…), and the difference is like night and day. The staff and space at American Storage are TONS nicer/cleaner/better than at Public, and American is somewhat more accessible (slightly better hours, better parking lot/loading dock, etc). Public has not been a good experience.

    And to those discussing TWC: does anyone else notice that Internet access routinely quits for several minutes every night at a little after 11?

    Has anyone tried Moishe’s storage by the Navy Yard? They purport to be open 24/7 which seems like a definite advantage.

    I had the same problem with Mad Men on Sunday and went to the AMC HD channel (754) where it was working. But a frustrating several moments, for sure. I agree, TWC is really awful.

    What on earth is Citibank doing to the pavement outside the bank on Montague between Clinton & Court? It’s so difficult for me to navigate the alternative narrow ‘temporary’ path with my double stroller (I can’t imagine how less mobile people can manage it at all). It seems to be in construction mode for months now. Does anyone know when it plans to be done?

    Speaking of jewelers. Can anyone recommend a jeweler who works with platinum? Could be in Manhattan. The Montague St jewelers seem afraid to touch it.

    Re: Mad Men… Yes! And I was extremely annoyed. I had missed the last episode and was looking forward to watching. Then, poof, sound went out. Although, I switched to the HD channel and didn’t even get a picture there. TWC has been horrible. I have nothing good to say about them. Our entire cable box went out yesterday.

    Re: Mad Men…I think you can go to channel 1009 (Primetime On Demand?) where the AMC menu lists aired episodes of Mad Men (and my fav Rubicon). You can fast forward and re-watch those last ten minutes if you missed them. It’s only in 720, but if you zoom in it’ll fill up an HD screen just fine.

    TWC is annoying sometimes, but for me, On Demand makes everything better.

    Jared, and jarbro, I asked my friend who is a tenant at the Doughty Street lot about spaces and he confirmed that they are all occupied and there’s a long list of prospective tenants.
