I don’t understand why the moderators remove posts that they don’t agree with. Isn’t this an open forum?

It depends Mr. Braithwaite on what you’re saying. A line must be drawn between open and offensive.

Unfortunately, I just received a report that Otis is still missing. Please keep your eyes open for this loved and esteemed member of our community.

Hi, what’s with the police car parked on Monroe and Clark these days? Presume it is connected with the shooting.

Is it time to call in Curtis Sliwa and the Guardian Angels to patrole BH especially given the recent attack on the elderly gentleman referenced above – appears crime in BH is getting out of hand or the summer heat is causing the locals to become too frisky

That damn Al Gore and his global warming theories are obviously to blame for crime in Brooklyn Heights.

  • nabeguy

Yeah, T.K. but at least he invented the internet so we can all talk about it!

The CVS pharmacy on Henry is terrible. I had the office of the professions (NY State education department) investigate but they said it was consumer related — it was not. They did say that I might try another route. Inspector General is next. But it’s not first on my list.

BTW… CVS supposedly just changed their computer system and I already saw a big problem.

I don’t use it anymore. I have them transfer current prescriptions elsewhere. I think I”ll try the City Chemist. Greater accountability.

Anybody else notice that the sprinklers at the Clark Street entrance to the Promenade have been on non-stop since Friday morning? I called 311, they filed my complaint and later told me that the Parks Dept. has up to 12 days to investigate! Meanwhile, the gardens and promenade are flooded and nobody gives a rat’s ass. I’m just waiting for another sinkhole…

A shout out to the good people of Amity St. whose “block party” I crashed this weekend, not realizing it was a private family reunion. I feel bad about eating your food, but it was quite delicious and fully appreciated.

(I should be really be posting this on the Cobble Hill Blog, but the most recent Open Thread over there is showing signs of moss.)
