Maybe the cat was the shooter yesterday and got out of Dodge?

I don’t mind a little humor, but this is too much! Not funny when a loved pet is lost!

The residents of the neighborhood ask you to PLEASE take this picture down. This family has been through enough. No other news source decided to post a picture of this poor, troubled cat.

Please, please, take the photo down and respect the privacy of the family.

I actually came upon a cat last night who seemed to have snuck out, but this cat was not Otis….

His name tag read: Marko and he was a sort of tan/blond color. I tried to pick him up but he went into attack mode. He then ran off.

I hope the owners manage to find the little guy!

@KO, you are more than welcome.

Back in the summer of 1996, my father’s cat “Smiley” became similarly lost. We had signs up all around the neighborhood, long before the BHB existed. Every day my father would amble around the neighborhood looking for his his beloved cat. Although Smiley was very handsome, he was dumber than dirt and I was not all that optimistic.

17 days after he got out, when we had all but given up looking for him, a neighbor of ours excitedly reported a sighting. Somehow my father climbed out of the laundry room window in the basement of 2 Grace Court and collected Smiley, who had been living in the garden behind the building. Other than being pretty skinny, he was none worse for the wear and was very happy to be home.

Hang in there, and I am sure that Otis will turn up soon.

Agree with you there T.K. I had a similar incident with a much-beloved family cat who went missing. After two weeks, we pretty much gave up on him ever making a return until one day, while walking down Henry Street, I saw him lounging in the curve of a store awning. How the heck he got up there is anyones guess…we accepted it as one of those bizarre and mysterious situations that felines seem have a knack for getting into. KO, keep your chin up, your eyes to the ground, and your ears on high alert.
