Heather Tawks with NY1 About If These Knishes Could Talk

BHB contributer Heather Quinlan (@heathercue) had another star turn on NYC TV this morning. NY1 spent some time with HQ discussing her documentary in progress If These Knishes Could Talk.
Update Heather also appeared on WNYC’s Brian Lehrer Show… but not with Brian… it was “other guy”.. but great nevertheless.. give it a listen:

Help HQ raise the funds to complete the doc now at Kickstarter.

    Heather, great job as usual.

Also heard on WNYC – Brian Lehrer show this morning! Congrats! Sorry you didn’t get more time to talk…

    AAR.

I agree. The guy in charge of the ferry got equal time with Heather who is the subject of the story. Between the NY1 guy monopolizing the camera and interview the the ferry dude, Heather got limited time. AAR you hit it on the nose.

Thanks! It was fun, slightly nerve-wracking. All worked out well, though!

Heather I’m so happy you are getting all this media attention. It’s well deserved. I kept hoping the NY1 guy would invite people to contribute to the project via Kickstarter. I’m a big fan of yours but it was only by accident a few days ago that I learned about being able to participate in some small way via Kickstarter. You rock.

Thanks so much! NY1 was a little squeamish about mentioning Kickstarter, so the next-best thing was they directed people to my site which then had Kickstarter on it. Tonight the BHB gang and I will be on News 4 NY at 6 so watch out for it!!!

Hi Heather (Heatha;)… ny nonstop reran your story on tuesday. I love love the whole concept. After i post this i am going to do a little research and see if you have any of your video interviews anywhere. I’m a native new yorker from LES lived my first years in stuyvesant town in the 70’s and have lived in most neighborhoods in manhattan since. Now im living in bayridge, brooklyn. I’m telling you this because nobody can ever place where my accent is from. I guess since i truly hail from all over the city and some boroughs and even parts of Jersey. Looking forward to seeing your special project.
