These guys eat better than me!

  • nabeguy

And they work for peanuts, no less. Why are there 3 perfectly good slices of pizza on the Promenade? Did somebody drop them by accident or is this the harbinger of things to come, tourist-trash-wise?

  • Karl Junkersfeld

That’s Grimaldi’s Pizza. Did you see the que behind the bench? It was in the pigeon guide to Brooklyn Heights.

  • nabeguy

Ha,ha. But Karl, I’m sure you know the rules well enough to realize that this could not be Grimaldi’s pizza…NO SLICES!!!

  • http://www.tksmall.com TK Small

I thought that Karl was swearing off Pizza and other fattening foods. Perhaps that is what is behind the windfall to the pigeons.

  • Ben

I love pizza too much to give it to birds.

  • brooklynheightzer

If it were from Grimaldi’s I do not think the birds would have gone for it – these are NYC pigeons and they must know more about food than the tourists…

  • NB

Pigeons need ammo, their weapon of choice is pizza bombs.

NB, may I suggest that humans do an excellent job of what the bird in the photo is boning-up* on?

    *Double entendre?

  • Demonter

    Do not feed the wildlife.

  • Jorale-man

Jogging on the promenade early this morning, the pigeons were having a real buffet, from Starbucks wrappers to Chinese takeout containers. Perhaps someone was paying homage to that Mad Men episode where Drapers shook out their picnic blanket and left all of their garbage laying on the ground.

  • nabeguy

kinda my point, jora-lemon. There are a lot more mad men in the nabe.

  • Mickey

Did you feed the rats on the Promenade, too?

  • Pigeon hater

Isn’t it illegal to feed vermin?

Pigeons carry hundreds of communicable diseases. Thanks for contributing to the next epidemic.
