Big Dumptrucks on Montague

"Stew" writes us:

Last night I woke up to dump trucks making pick ups 19 times.  I actually counted. I live on Montague Street, and of course, since it is a commercial street it is to be expected.  BUT 19 times?  It went on from 11pm to 3am.  What is going on here?  Usually it happens on Sunday nights and Tuesday nights, but this one went on for way too long.  Does anybody know the details.  Is there something going on this week that I don't know about?  This was ridiculous.  I felt like I was at a construction site.

Flents anyone?

From DOT’s website here is a listing of current street construction permits for Montague Street – maybe it had something to do with this?

I live on Montague street too, between Henry and Hicks. Maybe that’s why I woke up exhausted today?

Thanks Anon. The locations listed on the site were exactly where the noise were coming from. I’m sandwiched between the two since I live between Clinton and Henry. Very annoying.

Peter, good luck. Hopefully it doesn’t trickle down to your block.
