The Thrill of Victory

While there's still no gambling at the Heights Casino, it did play host to a big squash championship last weekend (the Brooklyn Eagle says it was THE BEST EVER):

Brooklyn Eagle: Everybody Wins…: The matches were long, exciting and often decided by one or two crucial points. But in the end, a previous champion stood tallest as top-seeded Natalie Grainger of the United States captured the 2007 Carol Weymuller U.S. Open Women’s Invitational Squash Championship on Sunday.

“The whole week, everyone was treated to some great squash,” said tournament director Fiona Geaves after four days of furious action at the Heights Casino. “Every day the matches went late, because they were so competitive.” [Full Story]
