I have never been to Magnetic Field. I am in my 30’s. I’m just a regular guy. Would I feel comfortable there? It seem more like a place for trendy hippsters. Am I wrong?

Thanks! What’s a good night to go? Is it some place my wife and I could go?

I am completely shocked! I thought that actually was Keith Hernandez.

I’m 61, and I love the place. The entertainment is great, and Charlene is a terrific bartender.

Trivia question: Keith Hernandez’s uniform shirt had a bright red letter sewn onto the left front, below “New York.” What letter was it, and what did it stand for?

all are welcome at MF and believe it or not, but our “hipster” quotient is quite low… we have live music every monday (local bands, no cover) as well as thursdays, fridays and saturdays (local and national bands, cover charge until 11PM). tuesdays is happy hour all night, and on wednesdays we have either comedy or one of our gameshows… come on down and check us out for sure!

Awesome! I was under the impression that we wouldn’t be welcome.
    Thanks for clearing that up.

“Trendy hipster” is now an oxymoron. I’m in my late thirties and far from cool or trendy. I love MF! It has one of the best tap lists of any club which features regular live music, and it’s a great place to sit and listen to garage rock bands, drink good beer and keep one eye on the Mets game at the same time. I can’t imagine anyone who goes there even cares who else is in the bar.

I had heard it had its own crowd, and outsiders weren’t welcome. I guess I heard wrong. We are going to check it out.
