The Brooklyn Cyclones swept their across-the-Narrows rivals, the Staten Island Yankees in the semifinal round of the New York-Penn League championship series and, depending on the outcome of the other semifinal contest, will face either the Auburn Doubledays or the Oneonta Tigers for the championship. The opening game of the best of three series will be upstate on Thursday evening, and the second game will be at KeySpan Park, Coney Island on Friday beginning at 7:00 P.M. Game three, if necessary, will also be at KeySpan on Saturday, at 6:00 P.M.

9/13 Update: the Cyclones dropped the opener of the championship series to the Auburn Doubledays tonight, so tomorrow it's do or die for them at KeySpan.
