Heights Couple Dies in Crash

NJ.com: Two people were killed and five others were injured in a multi-vehicle accident Sunday night on Route 23 in Hardyston, police said today.

Kerry Felski, 58, who was driving, and his wife, Cynthia Felski, 57, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., died in the five-vehicle accident, which occurred at about 8:30 p.m. just south of the northern Route 23 intersection of Silver Lake Road in the Stockholm section of the township, police said.The five people injured in the accident were in three other vehicles. They are: Stephen Klein, 69, who was driving, and his passenger, Evelyn Klein, 67, both of Boynton Beach, Fla.; Donnie Fernandez, 22, who was driving alone, of Corona, Calif.; and Jarrod Cappello, 32, who was driving, and his passenger, Stephanie Cappello, 28, both of Oak Ridge. Information on the extent of their injuries has not been released.

The driver of the fifth vehicle, Kathleen Sullivan, 51, of Haskell, who was alone, was not injured in the accident.Route 23 was closed for about five hours after the accident, police said. No further information was immediately released about the circumstances of the crash.

The Sussex County Prosecutor's Office and Hardyston police are investigating.
