Erection on Clinton Coming?

Brooklyn Eagle: …15 Story Building: The addition of six stories atop the nine-story building at 75 Clinton St. (aka 168 Montague St.) in Brooklyn Heights is a strong possibility, according to a Department of Buildings (DOB) document.

A permit application has been filed with the DOB for a 15-story, 185-foot-tall mixed-use building with 88 residential units by owners Clinton Realty Holdings LLC, based in Lakewood, N.J., and listing a Marshall Weisman as principal, and Edgar Rawlings IV of Rawlings Architects PC of Manhattan.

Neither Weisman nor Rawlings responded to phone calls from the Eagle.

    According to the story in the Eagle, 75 Clinton Street is a pretty old building (It must have gotten one of those 60s or 70s makeovers). I wonder how it could support the added weight of six more floors? It concerns me . . . I mean, the last thing we need is another collapsing building.
