    According to an article in The New York Times, Montreal Smoked Meat (which is neither pastrami nor corned beef, but something else), and of which I am greatly enamored, is coming to Boerum Hill. Link to NYT story here:

    My most recent trip to Montreal was, among other things, an homage to the stuff. But I stay away from Poutine.

    I think some had a good laugh when I asked about Holiday Carolers. Anyway, I found a group and thought I would pass along the info.

    The First Presbyterian Church at Henry and Clark will have walking carolers meeting at the church at 6:30pm and leaving to walk through the neighborhood at 7:00pm. I don’t know how long they plan to be out and about but I’m going to take my kids for a walk to see them. We won’t be joining the group since it’s a little late for us. We need to get up early to stand in line at Starbucks and annoy people. LOL!

    Ironically enough, I believe I witnessed this photo being taken as I pulled up to the garage at Columbia Hts Blvd/Old Fulton to have my car inspected thanks to the suggestions of some nice folks on last week’s OTW. By the by, the employees in there were so nice and felt bad that they couldn’t accomodate me so they suggested I go to the Mobil off Flatbush Ave/Myrtle Ave which did the job just fine. Thanks again, everyone.

    Montezuma – how do you know it was food poisoning and not a stomach bug/flu? Still hopeful as I love Chipotle.

    It was stomach flu, I wrote FP for shorthand, wakened as I am. And it WAS Chipotle: either the pico de gallo, lettuce (but my money is on the) guacamole.

    Funny you mentioned Chipotle. I have felt ill on several occassions from the place. Especially when I go at off hours. My bet is on the barbacoa….

    Just report Chipotle to the DOH they will take care of it. Lets see how Chipotle handles the shutdown.
