Punchy Attacker Identified

The Brooklyn Eagle identifies the man who struck a "Packer Dad" on Joralemon Street last Thursday as Brian Land of Pacific Street. The paper reports that Land has been charged with Misdemeanor Assault.

    Sounds like a case of ‘roid rage”. I think a few months in Rikers might do Brian of Pacific Street some good.

    I can’t imagine how “being pumped” will serve him as an alibi in front of a judge. You never hear of Jack LaLanne doing something like this. As for steroids, he would have been better off punching out Jason Giambi.

    He should go back to where he came from, after doing some time at Rikers or upstate. It looks like he can’t take the stress of living here.

    Unfortunately, it’s just a misdemeanor–I’d be surprised if he didn’t get off with time served.

    I say unfortunately because this asshole needs to be roughed up himself at Rikers.

    Lord have mercy. Would LOVE to know how many of the illustrious individuals behind these comments are actually from (meaning grew up in) Brooklyn Heights.

    Grew up on Middagh Street, as a matter of fact. As for the tone of the comments, it would appear that Punchy may not be the only indulging in steroids. Lest anyone forget, we happen to live in an open community, not a walled city, so we are subject to all its vices as well as its virtues.

    The guy actually died after being sucker punched. If this is a new trend seeping down to Brooklyn, none of us should stand for it. I will retaliate big time.

    That IS a scary new trend if ever I heard one. Unfortunately, a sucker punch is just that…you never see it coming. And it’s kind of hard to retaliate when you’re in a coma!
