“Health emergency” or not, the landlord at 132 Montague evidently reacted quickly to our post about the messy condition in front of the downstairs space at that address. While there are still a few cigarette butts and other scraps of trash in the space, the bottles and decayed rags are gone.

Ewww, but is the rat poison still there? How about the rats?

  • x

Rats are from the restaurants surrounding the laundromat

    Even better–yum yum!

My guess is the Doe Fund guys, at the direction of the BID manager, cleaned, not the landlord.

I am proud. We finally moved something substantially… We got a whole bag of crap cleaned up and pieces of a left over blanket… There was a health hazard emergency on Henry between Pierrepont and Clark this morning. Lots of loose papers and leafs. Oh, and I noticed a while ago outside 20 Henry there was some brownish liquid spilled. The left overs are still visible. Can someone call the DoH and have it analyzed to determine if this could be a health hazard as well?

When the lobster sign is hoisted above neo-Armando’s, I’ll know we’ve really done something.

The rat poison sign at the store WAS posted by the Dept of Health.

ps, I guess the rats got take-out from the restaurants and took it over to the vacant laundromat store !

I’d rather see the poison than the rats.
