Brooklyn Heights resident and photographer Jonathan Barkey has created a website showing what he claims are the true proportions of Bruce Ratner's Atlantic Yards project. He tells Brooklyn Papers, “I was bothered by the fact that Ratner’s renderings make the impact look less because the photos were from so far away…But when you show his plans in the proper context, you see how colossal it is.”
As you can see from Barkey's rendering (above) of the Dean Street Playground, buildings appear to be attacking kids enjoying an afternoon of play.
