The Brooklyn Eagle reports that the restoration efforts at 25 Grace Court will be honored tonight in Manhattan at New York Landmarks Conservancy 16th Annual Lucy G. Moses Preservation Awards Reception:
Brooklyn Eagle: Two Sites…: Grace Court is a one-block cul-de-sac within the Brooklyn Heights Historic District with a rare view of New York harbor to the west. The façade restoration at 25 Grace Court included masonry cleaning, brick repointing and composite brownstone repair. It also encompassed painstaking replication of rotted wood elements at the bay window, balcony, entry door, door surround, and cornice. The sole guide to its comprehensive exterior restoration was a 1940-era tax photo.
