Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend, late evening Friday, August 16 to early morning Monday, August 19, is a repeat of last weekend. There will be no service at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall, as 4 service to and from Brooklyn will be suspended and 5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends. 2 and 3 trains should be running normally and, for those traveling to and from Brooklyn, 3 trains will be making all the stops from Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College to New Lots Avenue normally served only by 4 trains.

The following work week, Monday, August 19 through Friday, August 23, the only planned service disruptions take place late at night to early morning. Late nights to early mornings Monday to Tuesday and Tuesday to Wednesday there will be no service at Clark Street or at the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall, as 2 train service will be suspended between Chambers Street in Manhattan and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and 3 trains do not serve Brooklyn late at night. All other trains should be running normally, except for N and R trains late night to early morning Monday to Tuesday, during which the only service at Court Street and at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech will be Manhattan bound N train service, as Brooklyn bound N trains will be re-routed to the Q line between Canal Street in Manhattan and DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn, and R train service will be suspended in both directions between Whitehall Street-South Ferry in Manhattan and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

These are the PLANNED changes affecting local service for this weekend and for the following week.
