Hi! Curious if anyone has heard more about the Chipotle on Montague Street – their mobile ordering system has been down for weeks now. I asked an employee and they said they were remodeling their store and could take 1-2 years to be back up and running…seems odd to me. Curious if anyone else has heard something?

Here’s another photo of the Brooklyn County Courthouse Building, this from 1896. In the reply, see it behind the elevated train tracks 4 years later:

Decrepit crime-ridden old buildings of Brooklyn Heights or the clean, modern ones of Farragut Houses? Let the NYC Housing Authority show your (their) future!

Some sort of MTA walk-in customer service center will be opening at 149 Pierrepont St. MTA logo on the door and can see service counter windows set up inside along one wall. Didn’t find anything online about this but I assume will be similar to the MTA’s customer service location in lower Manhattan. (And the closed one in old MTA HQ @ 370 Jay St.) Unclear how this relates to the ongoing plans to transition token booth clerks to station customer service agents.

Will you adopt me so I can inherit your rent-controlled apartment? A Bitcoin trader bought the 10-unit brownstone I live in and is converting it back to single family. I think I have to live with you a couple of years first. I’m a pretty good cook and quiet as a church mouse.

I took another look – maybe the plexiglass windows I saw are just an over-zealous entrance security desk. Hard to say. Curious to find out what sort of MTA office this will be.

I saw people eating in there today. Looked normal?

What’s the address of your being converted (and presumably mass-eviction) building?

My place: you just want my books and my model train collection:

1 Willow St. 7 unit to single family

Before that I lived at 145 Willow. 10 unit to single family

And 109 State Street. 5 unit to single family.

And 150 Willow St. 4 unit to single family

And 108 Montague Terrace. 10 unit to single family

I really have bad luck staying in an apartment.

Sorry I meant 1 Willow Place. 7 unit to single family

Do you mean 108 Montague Street and NOT 108 Montague Terrace?

We think to get succession rights you must live in the apartment at least 2 years.

Check the State of New York DCHR Website.

Hopefully the Bitcoin Trader will give you a pile $$$ of cash to surrender your lease.

    Claude,

    That is a spectacular picture.

Wondered about that. 1 Willow Street torn down for the BQE 75 years ago or so.

Wine Bar at Fifty Henry closed for good after New Year’s Eve. Sign on their door & instagram page says new restaurant from same team will open in spring. And Mark is moving the wine aspects over to Henry’s End. See full note in pic attached https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/bf2cb117eaa858328a203fcf42186cc6714173f62e30f5d27d2e9059e29161ef.jpg

I didn’t think you could get kicked out anymore if you are rent stabilized (of course also not rent controlled). Owners can take over one unit but not more.

Thanks! Happy new year to you.

You do not live at 1 Willow Place. I was the last tenant there years ago and there has not been anyone since. It’s also not 10 unit….
