This weekend Bargemusic marks the 100th anniversary of the death of the French composer Claude Debussy (image) with two concerts. The first, on Friday evening, April 6 at 8:00, features pianists Steven Beck and Yalin Chi performing works by Rameau, Debussy, Chopin, and Dukas. For the second, on Saturday evening, April 7 at 6:00, Mr. Beck returns, solo, to play works by Schumann, Debussy, and Franck.
On Sunday afternoon, April 8, soprano Jane Leibel, accompanied by violinist Mark Peskanov and pianist Maureen Volk, will perform works by Mozart, Schubert, and Mendelssohn. There are details for each concert and you may buy tickets here.
On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
