For this one more weekend – 11:45 PM Friday, May 5 to 5:00 AM Monday, May 8 – the 4 will not be with us (nor will the 5, which doesn’t serve Brooklyn on weekends). This means no service at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall. For those traveling to or from the interior of Brooklyn, 3 trains will be making all 4 stops to and from the 2/3 platform at Borough Hall. For those traveling to or from the East Side of Manhattan, your best bet is to transfer to or from the 4 to or from the R or N at 14th Street. The transfer to or from the 2/3 at Fulton Street won’t be available, as 4 trains will be terminating and originating at Brooklyn Bridge. All other trains serving local stations should, barring the unforeseen, be running normally.
Late nights the following work week – 11:45 PM to 5:00 AM Monday, May 8 to Friday, May 12, work on the 4/5 tunnel will continue to (we hope) completion, so again no 4 service to or from Borough Hall (and no 5, as always late at night). The transfer to or from the 2 or 3 at Fulton will be available, though, as the 4 will terminate and originate at Bowling Green.
For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, or for unplanned disruptions, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
