On Friday evening, August 5 at 8:00, Bargemusic will present violinist Kinga Augustyn playing selections ranging from the baroque to the romantic to the modern, including works by Telemann, Paganini, Piotr Drożdżewski, Penderecki, and Eugene Ysaye. Saturday evening, August 6 starting at 8:00 is tango evening, featuring music composed by Astor Piazzolla (photo) and by Piazzolla’s disciple, Pablo Ziegler, performed by Mark Peskanov on violin, Jisoo Ok on cello, Hector Del Curto on bandoneon, and Ziegler himself on piano. On Sunday afternoon, August 7 at 4:00 pianist Beth Levin will play works by Schubert, Del Tredici, and Brahms. Details for each concert and buy tickets here.
Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
