On Friday evening, March 18 at 8:00, Bargemusic presents the Signum Quartet playing works by Beethoven, Peter Louis Van Dijk, and Brahms. Saturday evening, March 19 at 8:00 violinist Stephanie Chase (photo) and pianist Todd Crow will play works by Mozart, Brahms, H.T. Ma, Rachmaninoff, and Sarasate. On Sunday afternoon, March 20 at 4:00 pianist Jeffrey Swann will play “Music in Shakespeare”, including works by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Smetana, Debussy, Schubert/Liszt, and Mendelssohn/Liszt (yes, all of these composers lived long after Shakespeare died, but perhaps their pieces in this concert were inspired by scenes in Shakespeare).
Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated. There’s more information and buy tickets for the evening and Sunday concerts here.
